police have been very slow to give us any information. we still don't know who the woman is or how she was killed, nor do we have any suspect information. all this happened about 2:30 this afternoon as police arrived on the scene after a 911 call. homicide detectives are now on the case. however, prince george's police say they got the call about a woman who was in trouble seen lying unresponsive in that hallway near a stairwell. they also got calls about gunshots at complex about the same time. the woman has not been identified at this point. she is a white female in her 40s. she died in the hospital about an hour after emergency crews arrived here on the scene. again police have not established a motive or suspect. >> at this time it does not appear to be a robbery, but we are still looking for the motive in the case. >> reporter: what have you been able to get from any witnesses? did they hear any arguing, shouting, any gunshots? was there any domestic problems in that area? >> that's all still part of the investigation. they're still

over to max hd, and we'll show you what's on tap for us. the showers will definitely be moving north, and they'll be moving along a stationary boundary that is to our east. most of the day we'll have some sunshine and a few clouds, temperatures in the mid-70s. those clouds will increase in the afternoon and by tomorrow night we'll be watching for those showers, but it seems to have slowed down just a little bit. but watch what happens. the front gets dragged back to the west as the low, what we think will be maybe tropical storm nicole and eventually just a low coming on by us. that may have an effect of pulling that heavy band of rain closer to dc, maybe closer to the west, maybe farther to the east. where that heavy band of rain sets up, we're not sure yet but there's a good chance dc may be close to it. and another front comes on through, a cooler front and sweeps it out of here in time for friday. so it's thursday we have to deal with it. you can see we have clouds starting to move on in. notice at 8:00, some of the showers moving past

again, an outside chance a scattered thunderstorm or shower pops us for us over the next few hours. strongest of the thunderstorms well down to the south of us, bubbling up in all the heat. there's the funnel system. it will try and bring some relief tomorrow, but it will stay north of us. so we're going to stay hot. we'll be hot tomorrow, back up in the lower to mid-90s, but we will be dry with plenty of sunshine. and this trend sticks around for the next couple days. as a matter of fact, friday we're going to be right back up into the middle 90s. cooler for the weekend. it's looking better now for saturday. at least it looks dryer. a temperature of 85 degrees. we're going to technically keep a shower in the forecast for sunday, with a little question mark there. temperatures in the middle 70s. we could pull that shower out over the next couple of days so it could be a pretty good looking weekend coming our way. >> thank you, gary. >> you probably don't have to guess why they're singing. the new season of "american idol" doesn't even start until next year, but idol hopefuls already
